How to link my macbook to my monitor using HDMI?

hi, I have the 2.0ghz aluminium macbook, and I want to link it to my 22″ samsung external monitor.
this monitor has HDMI, and I was wondering how to link the macbook to the monitor using HDMI, or if there is a better alternative that will give better results.

The aluminum Macbook has a miniDisplayPort.

You have to buy a miniDisplayPort-to-DVI adapter: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDA3Ng&mco=MjE0ODQ0Mg

With that adapter, you can connect to any DVI or HDMI display.

To connect to a DVI display, you use a standard DVI cable.

To connect to an HDMI display, you use a DVI-to-Hdmi Cable (which you also have to buy separately).

HDMI uses digital DVI video signals, so if your Samsung monitor has DVI, just use that. Same video quality as HDMI.
