A way to make XP let you set an image or animation as a “desktop item” like Win. 98 did?
I miss that feature. I could locate some small pic of something or a funny little animation and then set in on the desktop and enjoy it.
You just need to enable active desktop:

That allows you to set a animated GIFS as your background.
